Technical Director

ELIOT KING

Eliot has over 18 years' experience gained in Transport Planning consultancy roles, advising on a diverse range of projects across the public and private sectors. Eliot holds a BA (Hons) in Geography and an MSc in Transport Planning. He is a member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) and a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).

Prior to joining Apex TP, Eliot spent the previous six years working for one of the UK's leading Transport Planning consultancies as an Associate based in its Bristol office, working on projects across the south of England and Wales.

Eliot has significant development planning experience covering a diverse range of uses across a broad range of scales. His experience has afforded him a sound commercial understanding and Eliot has supported planning applications for energy (AD, solar, battery storage), healthcare, education, residential, commercial (up to 100,000sqm) and large constrained mixed-use sites.

The scope of advice and technical evidence provided to clients is tailored as necessary, taking a pragmatic approach to support outline, full and reserved matters submissions. Eliot has also provided transport planning advice to a range of public sector schemes which have variously developed evidence bases supporting the release of land for development and assisting planning applications for affordable residential development across brownfield sites.

Transport and movement present great opportunities to deliver environmental and social improvements with long lasting impacts and Eliot enjoys working collaboratively, particularly on schemes where there is the opportunity to help to inform and develop movement and access strategies at the early stages.

I am excited to join the team at Apex TP, re-connecting with former colleagues.

Time outside of work revolves around the family and we enjoy spending time outside walking and cycling.
