Sam joined the team full-time in September 2024 following graduation from the University of the West of England (UWE). Sam supports the team on all projects for a range of development schemes. This includes swept path analysis, access design, active travel audits, road safety analysis, traffic surveys, preparation of transport reports and advice on site layout proposals.

Sam has a degree in Geography and a keen interest in transport matters, with his dissertation entitled "The investigation into the attitudes, behaviours, and perceptions of the people of Bristol to the transition to electric vehicles."

 

In his spare time, Sam really enjoys playing sports, particularly football, and he has also recently taken up playing golf and padel. Sam enjoys exploring Bristol and trying out the wide range of bars and restaurants that the city has to offer. Travelling is also a passion of Sam's and he has had the opportunity to travel across the East Coast of the USA as well as Southeast Asia. Sam is aiming to visit many more countries around the world over the coming years.
