Grant has over eight years of experience gained across an extensive selection of projects throughout England and Wales. This includes early conceptual, land acquisition and masterplanning advice, planning application support as well as post-planning feasibility and construction stage inputs.
 
Grant’s experience has been developed at multi-disciplinary engineering and planning consultancies, including; Hydrock, Wood Group and Amec Foster Wheeler. Working within diverse professional teams has allowed Grant to develop an excellent understanding of the sector and gain expertise in highway design and masterplanning.   
 
Grant has a Master of Planning (MA Hons) degree from the University of the West of England and is a member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCHIT).

At Apex, Grant leads projects, supporting clients through the production of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and Transport Chapters for Environmental Statements. Grant also leads our highway design team and provides expert advice on access, design and mitigation requirements.

 

He has extensive knowledge of junction modelling and traffic impact assessments, applying this to provide pragmatic solutions to complex issues. 
 
Grant undertakes non-motorised user and Active Travel Act audits as well as overseeing all stages of Road Safety Audits and traffic data collection.   
 
Grant also has experience in town centre and urban regeneration, strategic road corridor improvement strategies and road safety assessments, including Traffic Regulation Order design work.
