David Chapman

David is a Chartered transport planner with 14 years’ experience of projects across the UK.  He is responsible for delivering transport inputs for all types of development throughout the UK, in particular in Wales, the South West and on the South Coast.

He produces technical reports for promoting strategic sites through the planning process and supporting planning applications. He provides masterplan support and advises on mitigation and highway design. ​

David has extensive experience in supporting development projects through the production of ES Transport Chapters, Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, and liaison with local highway officers, consultation support and stakeholder engagement.

David has a detailed knowledge of transport matters such as car parking management and design, highway capacity and junction assessments, pedestrian and cycling audits, public transport studies, highway design and road safety analysis.

He has provided transport advice for strategic development sites, strategic town centre studies, public realm improvements and car parking management and rationalisation studies.

David provides expert witness support at public inquiries (where required) and transport support at public and stakeholder consultation events and meetings. ​

David also has extensive experience of travel planning, including the production of numerous travel plans, acting as a Travel Plan Coordinator and contributing to a Local Sustainable Travel Fund project in Gloucestershire.
